Today's tour guides come from a variety of backgrounds. Tour management is often a second or third career for many people. This was my situation; I was burned out after 15 years in the medical field and needed a change. Travel and Nursing are both people-oriented professions. I've always enjoyed assisting people with their needs. I wanted to find a new field where I could bring "comfort and happiness," and travel appealed to me.

After studying travel at West Los Angeles City College under Dr. Mark Mancini, In 1998 Take A Break Cruises & Tours was born.
